I couldn't find anything to photograph today but I found this whilst looking through some old photos.
It is Andy and me about 10 years ago shortly before we took part in our first and only muountain bike race.
I'm the one on the left - although you would not recognise me now! Andy, however, is unchanged.

I arrived home from work this evening to find a package wedged under my door mat (thanks An Post for taking such good care of my post).
I couldn't remember ordering anything from ebay or the internet so I assumed something had gone wrong somewhere an I had someones else's package.
However on opening it I saw it contained this T-Shirt and, given the number of guitars I own, I knew it was intended for me.
I have my ideas as to who may have sent it, so thank you. It is awesome.

Today is world pinhole day so I decided to make a pinhole camera obscura for my G10. In the past I've used a pinhole fitted to an spare body cap on my DLSR but the images it made were not "pinholey" enough for me. I think this attempt may have swung too far the other way and I probably need to play with the setup a little more - maybe swap the G10 out for the 50D. I used enfuse to blend together 3 exposures to help control the bright centre spot.
See here for details on the camera obscura

Today is Worldwide Pinhole Day so I decided to make myself a pinhole for the 40D and have a go.
The speckles on the image are artifacts caused by the dirt on the sensor of my camera - I now know that I need to clean my sensor.
UPDATE: View my photo on the pinhole day gallery:

Went to see Bob Dylan at the O2 with Dad and WA. Spotted this on the way from the car to the dome.

It was a lovely day today but I didn't really get out to enjoy it - shame but at least it was nice to see the sun even if only through the train window.

I remember how how great these shoes looked when I got them so smooth and shiney - I was really excited about them. Now they are going in the bin.

Back home today and the garden is full of blossom.

There is a fair in town this week, we can see it from our bedroom window so I tried to capture it today.

Richard and I walked to Skegness today along the beach. It was longer than I thought but a nice walk none the less. We arrived back at Butlin's minutes after the beach gate was locked so we had to walk even further but it was still fun.

Labhaoise is in New York on holiday. So I decided to dig out some of the momentos we brought back a few years ago.

On our way to Skegness today I spotted this from the road so spun around to take a look. The reason I was so excited was that I know the Rylatts and I've been hearing about all the ins and outs of them setting up their new business for the last couple of years. So I was very excited to see them open for business. I hope they do well despite these difficult times. If you are in the market for a new ford or need a service and are in the spalding area why not pay them a visit.

This is one of my favourite biscuits, a native to Ireland. When I lived in the UK (once I knew of their existance) I used to bring these back from Ireland all the time.
Since I moved here I haven't had so many of them.

Pretty much everyone who has come into contact with my feet has expressed a negative point of view ranging from mearly expressing the opinion that they look a little odd to total repulsion and insisting I keep them covered at all times. They don't smell or anything they are just a little oddly shaped. They have been compared to duck feet and my wife, K, calls them my "hobbit" feet. I was stood on a chair in the kirchen (like I hobbit might if his tall, elven, wife had put the biscuits out of reach) and looked down and saw this shot.

I thought I'd just take a picture to remind myself what 'real' eggs look like.
No sweets inside this one.

K has been avoiding chocolate for the last few weeks as the midwife suspects she has gestational diabetes. So when I gave her a diabetic Easter egg this morning it didn't stand a chance of hanging around for long.
I find It hard to say what Easter means, what do I mean when I say "Happy Easter"? I guess Easter means a lot of different things but, this morning, as I reflect on it, I keep coming back to the freedom won for us by Jesus's death and resurrection. Happy freedom day!

The Hulk toy in this photo was sourced form my local branch of Euro 2 (everything is €2). Despite the quality this actually an official piece of merchandising!

Do you know how hard it is to find a 99 in Newbridge in the middle of April, when it's raining?
It turns out that it isn't that hard - there is a shop that sells them all year round.
I thought I'd try something a little different today with the colour and the black and white.
The hand belongs to my artistic director and girlfriend Labhaoise.

Spent the day in Oxford with work. Managed a brief lunchtime walk with the G10. I've been back to Oxford a few times with work and it is somewhat unsatisfying - I want to go back on my own time and mooch around some old haunts

Not sure how I feel about today's shot. I'm normally reluctant to use selective colour but...
At least I put some time into thinking about what I wanted to capture which is more than I've done for any other photo I've posted in the last week.
