After 2 solid days shooting at the conference I'm feeling all photoed out. So here is rather dull shot that I spent very little time thinking about and then spiced up a tiny bit in post production.

I had amazing plans to do something to mark day 150 (a milestone I thought I would never reach) however the day kind of got away from me and I found myself photo less at 11:30 pm so I decided, because it was such a clear night, I would do some night photography.

Another full day taking photos at the conference. I've caught up on my processing now so I can start catching up on my sleep next ;-)

Spent all day taking photos at a church conference which was lots of fun. I've got a huge backlog of processing to do so here is a quickie for the blog.

I took this shot completely blind, I have a habit of clicking the shutter of my camera as I'm carrying it and the today the camera was actually on.
This is an empty Diet Coke can (I drink about 3 a day so there are usually a few lying around) in front of a photo of me in La Jolla, San Diego taken a few years ago; both of which were on the top of bookcase at the top of my stairs.
The can has since been placed in the recycling bin!

Messing about with the flash again - still using the built-in flash. I'm definitely going to think about possibly looking at getting a flash gun.

All of K's family were visiting today and we went for lunch in Granchester.

This is one of the many signs at Bray, Co. Wicklow that seem to forbid any fun!

Walking along the river after lunch we saw this friendly little chap. I couldn't believe how close he let me get to him to take his portrait.

Inspired by Pete's food macros I thought I'd do some too but mine aren't quite as healthy.

I caught this picture while the cat was distracted and loved the way it came out. I also used the flash which is odd for me but I think I'm going to have to start learning to use it more. this will mean buying an external flash gun - yay new toys!

I forgot to take a camera when we walked around Cambridge today - gutted - I saw about a million interesting things worth photographing including a tree with bizarre red buds on it's leaves - I picked a leaf and brought it home so not all was lost. If anyone knows what is going on with this leaf I'd love to know.

...for not posting today (this was posted tomorrow if you get what I mean).
I had to go somewhere straight from work and forgot the camera.
This is a shot I'm not very pleased with, but I felt I should post something. It is the fridge magnets that I added to our collection on my recent US trip.
The slightly odd thing is our fridge doesn't have a door you can stick magnets to so our collection is scattered around the radiators of the house.

A bizarre restriction for a pub but there you have it.

Really liked the "flash in the bath" setup I used yesterday so did the same today this time with something more at home in the bath.

This is the greatest thing I have ever seen in the gift shop of a tourist attraction, so much so I had to buy it. It is a bouncy ball with a monkey around it.
The above photo shows how it landed (honestly) after I bounced it round the living room.

The pink highlights are what first drew my attention to this chap.
Not sure if today's post along with yesterday's are the start of a series - we'll have to see what tomorrow brings.

This fella has every right to look a bit nervous, tonight's project was to fit a new lock and handles to the door.

I'm pretty jet lagged after my jaunt to the USA so I was really struggling for a photo.
This is a little present I bought for myself in the Lego Store at Downtown Disney. The first two mini-figs really bring back memories for me.

I arrived back from Florida this morning and presented Labhaoise with her gift.
I think she liked it.

I once had a dream where I went to a real life Jurassic Park. When I awoke I told Labhaoise, she got annoyed because I went to Jurassic Park without her - in my dream!
So today I really did got o Jurassic Park without here, albeit the area of Universal's 'Islands of Adventure' in Orlando that is themed around Jurassic Park.

Whilst is Florida I could not pass up the chance to see two shuttles ready for launch. This is, according to the plan, the last time there will be a shuttle on both pads.
To the left of the picture is Endeavour, on pad 39B, this it is the backup suttle, to be launched if anything goes wrong whilst Atlantis, to the right (Pad 39A), is on its mission

After the work conference was over I checked out of Disney and headed to Universal Studios. It was not as good as Disney - which I was not expecting.
